LESSON: Stay Away From Drains

June 18, 2020 |

Learn all about how to be safer around pool drains today with Jessica and Alissa from Colin’s Hope!

Flat and damaged pool drains can be dangerous for kids because of the strong suction they can create, especially if stopped by a hand or seated child. Long hair and long strings should also be kept away from drains.

“Stay Away from Drains” is a great lesson from our curriculum, Water Safety with Colin & Friends. This Colin’s Hope water safety curriculum contains a variety of games and activities to create a culture of water safety. It is designed to be used by families, educators (pre-k, kindergarten, elementary school), and aquatics programs. Older kids can teach the lessons to younger kids for an all-ages activity. Available in English and Spanish. https://www.colinshopestore.org/
